When it comes to office Halloween parties, or parties in general, we like to think we're in the top 1%. Any holiday, any chance to shake off the coveralls, we make the absolute most of it.
On Thursday, October 29th at 3pm, we halted work for the day (while still making sure phones were answered and customers were taken care of) and headed into the shop to start decorating. We hand tied giant spider webs, used scissor lifts to tie ghosts, skeletons and clowns to the ceiling, wheeled in borrowed dirt to make a cemetery, and broke out the LED lights and fog machine. By the time we were done, the shop had been transformed into a haunted house.

None of this was necessary, but that's not really how we roll. We don't like to do the minimum. It's just not in our blood. Our general manager, Adrian Becerra, was the absolute legend behind it all. He made everyone in the office a Halloween goodie bag, provided burritos (he even took orders so everyone got what they wanted), and kept the energy high and positive.

We have fun taking care of our people. Decorating was a team building activity that we all got to enjoy the benefits of. When you have a team as well oiled as ours, one that has fun together and respects each other, it gives us the best chance to serve our customers the very best we can.
It might seem silly, but this is our culture. We go balls to the wall. Never half assed in ANYTHING. Work hard, play hard, whatever you want to call it. I feel lucky to be here and be a part of it. Most offices don't operate the way we do, and I'm thankful to be a cog in this wheel.
